Privacy Rights

Last Updated: October 5, 2026

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have certain rights or choices concerning personal information handled by Atlas Vehicle Protection.

This page explains how to contact Atlas about a privacy-related request.

Privacy Requests

Depending on applicable law and Atlas’s relationship with you, available requests may concern matters such as:

  • Access to certain personal information
  • Correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Deletion of certain personal information
  • Information about how personal information is used or disclosed
  • Certain choices regarding processing of personal information
  • Other rights provided by applicable law

Not every right applies in every jurisdiction or circumstance.

Atlas will evaluate privacy requests according to applicable requirements.

How to Make a Privacy Request

To make a privacy request, contact Atlas Customer Service by phone or through the Contact Atlas page below. Atlas does not currently offer a separate online privacy-request form or a dedicated privacy-request email address. To opt out of Atlas marketing, you can also use the Contact Preferences page described below.

Information Needed to Process a Request

Atlas may need information reasonably necessary to:

  • Understand the request
  • Locate relevant records
  • Verify the identity of the person making the request
  • Determine whether the request applies
  • Respond appropriately

The information required may depend on the type of request.

Do not submit sensitive information that Atlas has not requested.

Identity Verification

Certain privacy requests may require identity verification before information can be disclosed, corrected or deleted.

The verification process should be proportionate to the request and handled according to applicable requirements.

To verify your identity, Atlas may ask you to confirm information such as your name, address or other contact information associated with your request.

Authorized Agents

Applicable law may permit an authorized agent to submit certain requests on another person’s behalf.

Where applicable, Atlas may need information sufficient to verify the agent’s authority and/or the identity of the consumer. An authorized agent can submit a request by contacting Atlas using the information below.

Requests to Correct Information

If information Atlas has about you is incorrect—for example, the wrong name, address or vehicle—contact Atlas Customer Service using the information below so the applicable record can be reviewed.

This operational correction process is separate from any additional privacy rights available under applicable law.

Opt Out of Atlas Marketing

If your goal is simply to request that Atlas stop sending you future marketing, you do not need to begin with a broader privacy-rights request.

Use:

Contact Preferences

Provide your name and contact information so Atlas can locate the applicable record.

Marketing Choices

If you submit a quote request through the Atlas website, you may be asked to agree that an Atlas representative can contact you by phone, text message or email about vehicle service contract options. That consent is not required to purchase coverage.

You can withdraw your consent or ask Atlas to stop marketing contact at any time. Use the Contact Preferences page to ask to be removed from all future Atlas marketing, or to stop marketing phone calls, text messages or emails. You can also contact Atlas directly using the information below.

Contact Preferences

Atlas reviews each request and updates its records. Requests are not processed through an automated system, so it may take some time for a change to take effect.

Response to Requests

Atlas will respond to qualifying privacy requests in accordance with applicable requirements.

Applicable deadlines, extensions and appeal rights may vary by jurisdiction.

Requests That Cannot Be Completed

Applicable law may permit or require Atlas to retain or continue using certain information in some circumstances.

A request to delete information, for example, does not necessarily require deletion of every record where retention is permitted or required for legitimate legal or business purposes.

Where required, Atlas should explain its response to the requester.

Non-Discrimination

Where applicable law provides protections against discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights, Atlas will handle qualifying requests in accordance with those requirements.

Appeals

Some jurisdictions may provide a right to appeal certain privacy-request decisions. Where such a right applies, you can submit an appeal by contacting Atlas using the information below.
